Crocheron Park

This small park, only 45.8 acres, offers a simple loop with limited course options. Oddly enough this has been the site for ultramarathons. Besides the mile loop that I will describe below, there are two really good things about this park. First, there is parking, which makes this a great starting/ending point for those that are driving. Secondly, if you want a longer run, you can take a bridge to the Cross-Island bike path. From there you head north to the Throgs Neck Bridge (pretty run) or south to Alley Pond Park (also scenic) - both are good out and back runs.

The Mile Loop

As I have mentioned before, there isn't much variety within this park, so here is the mile loop plain and simple (actually, it is just under a mile). I have found this park to have a lot of dog walkers, so stay alert! The only thing of note here is that the southeastern corner of the park is slightly hilly, so for those of you who don't like hills you'll have to slightly modify the course and stay closer to the baseball field.
