Astoria Park

Astoria Park is a wonderful resource for Queens runners and those Manhattanites willing to cross the Triborough Bridge. There are a few miles of paved paths within the relatively small 65-acre park. You’ll experience the wonderful view of the city skyline and Triborough Bridge and the ambiance that park running provides. In addition, there is Queen’s largest public swimming pool, which was host to the Olympic Trials in 1936 and 1964.

Around the Park

Around the Park

Many people tend to run the perimeter of the park, which is approximately 1.5 miles around. Another version, which cuts off the southeast corner shortens the run to about 1.4 miles (yellow line).

The Track

Astoria Track

For runners, one of the big attractions is the 400m all-weather track located on the south side of the park. It is common to find groups of runners completing speed workouts on the track.
