How many times have you tried to look up something running related and were forced to sift through thousands of pages on Google before you found it? Well, in an attempt to ameliorate this problem a small community of runners have been building WikiRun.com – an Encyclopedia for Runners by Runners.

As of today, we have over 948 entries, and it is growing each day. There are training entries, biographies, race information, and much more. If you are running history buff, you love to document different training theories, or you closely follow the local racing scene we could use your help as an editor. Since most of you are bloggers, providing snippets from your blog about certain races, people, or events may be quite easy. You would also be able to link your content back to your blog as a reference increasing your traffic –WikiRun.com has had visitors from over 70 different countries around the world. If you would be interested in helping build this resource, please contact me, ryan@wikirun.com, and we’ll make you an editor.

Another way to help would be to add WikiRun.com to your blogroll.

Well, thanks for all your help. Even if you have no time to help, we’d love to have you visit. I’m a husband, father, coach, teacher, and runner in New York City, so I completely understand the lack of free time. Please enjoy the resource and visit often. Thanks.

Sincerely,

Ryan

Founder of RunYourCity.com and WikiRun.com
